The Obabikon Lake area, with its hundreds of wild rice beds is a natural feeding ground for thousands of native wild ducks during the summer. These local ducks, combined with the northern flights from the Hudson Bay country, add up to the very reason that you should choose Obabikon for your next duck hunting trip.

Our close proximity to the hunting area means that Obabikon hunters get the first shot at the ducks without long early morning boat rides. It is a known fact that our section of Lake of the Woods because of the wild rice, holds the greatest concentration of puddle ducks.

If you want to experience phenomenal crappie fishing, Obabikon is certainly a must. The big slab Crappies at the dock are an exceptional bonus to your vacation at Obabikon. Crappie fishing on the Obabikon dock is fun, it's fast, it's relaxing, it's even enjoyable to watch, and best of all it's free to all Obabikon guests. No other Canadian resort has anything that can compare to our "Famous Crappie Dock."

Here's several things you might like to know about the Obabikon area. Lake Of The Woods covers over 4,000 square miles. Its thousands of islands create wind protected fishing waters and a variety of fish found nowhere else. Located in the heart of the Aulneau Wilderness Area, Obabikon Bay provides infinite opportunities to fish reefs, sandy beaches and weedy bays. No long boat rides are necessary here. Northern, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Crappie abound just minutes from the resort.

There is little fishing or hunting pressure since resorts are few and far between. Obabikon is a family owned and operated resort and features the finest in American Plan accommodations. Quality meals, experienced staff, and well maintained equipment are standard policy at Obabikon.

Obabikon has it all! In addition to the great crappie fishing, we provide a great facility for your enjoyment. Many of our customers are women. Obabikon caters to couples. Special effort has been taken to provide comfortable first class accommodations. All cabins face the lake and offer private bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers. We're proud of our facility-its unique location, the quality of our staff and guides, the well maintained equipment and the overall cleanliness of the resort. Obabikon is first class all the way! We want you, like past guests, to look forward to returning again and again!
